I received your letter of December 20,
2006, requesting my authorizing a priest to administer the sacrament of
Confirmation to twelve children at Saints Peter and Paul mission. I
appreciate your understanding that I do not believe such
authorization/delegation would be appropriate. |
|
You may be familiar
with the news speculations about the anticipated "motu proprio" of our Holy
Father, Pope Benedict XVI, regarding the traditional Latin Mass. At this
point, I do not know the decisions of the Holy Father on this matter. |
|
Our Sunday and holy
day traditional Latin Masses are now back at the beautiful Saint Lawrence
Chapel. The beautiful restoration of Saint Patrick Cathedral is complete. I
hope you have a chance to visit. |
